This is it; the 365th day of the year 2014.
What will happen in year 2015?
My answer: Que Sera Sera (Whatever will be, will be).
Farewell 2014, It's been a emotional year; the disappearance of MH370 and the MH17 shootdown is a big blow to Malaysia. Not to forget the QZ8501 crash, and also the East Coast Great Flood.
May the year 2015 will bring new chapter in our lives.
Happy New Year 2015, and May the Almighty God bless us all.
And this song is dedicated to all of you:
Auld Lang Syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
Regards,
Tamizi Hj Tamby

My latest addition to the collection: SilkAir B737-800 by Lupa (Scale 1:200)
Yesterday, for the first time ever, I've doing a plane model shopping directly from overseas via online (prior to that I only bought directly through local shop or via fellow collector). And the model was Boeing 737-800 of SilkAir of Singapore, manufactured by Lupa in 1:200 scale. The model was made to commemorate the delivery of their Boeing 737-800 aircraft in February 2014, and also marks the return of Boeing aircraft on their fleet. Previously, they operated a fleet of 6 Boeing 737-300 (with one of the aircraft, 9V-TRF written off in SilkAir flight 185 in Musi River, Palembang, Indonesia on 19 December 1997, killing all passengers and crew onboard) from 1991 to 1999.
From 1999 to January 2014, SilkAir operates all-Airbus fleet (A319 and A320) until the delivery of the B737-800 in February 2014.
Bought at SilkAir's Skyshop, the model was sold for SGD 20.00 (add SGD 28.00 for shipping to Malaysia), and the final price was SGD 48.00 (MYR 136.68 according to the SGD to MYR rate on December 24th). Always check for the SGD to MYR rate daily, who knows you will do the payment cheaper.
Actually, this model would become my second SilkAir aircraft model (the first was her fellow sister, Airbus A320-200 in 1:400 scale, made by Herpa), and also the fifth Singaporean-registered aircraft model (after my Tiger Airways A320-200, SQ B727-200s by Apollo).
Since the order was received on December 24th, so I'm expecting to receive the model probably after Boxing Day (December 26th) or probably before the New Year's Eve (December 31st).
Can't wait to receive this model later!

My latest addition to the collection: Qatar Airways A330-200 (A7-ACH) by Phoenix (Scale 1:400)
Although it's not a new release, but I've managed to acquire this model from a fellow collector through FB. The model was actually bought earlier (November 2014) but only today I'm uploading the photos.
This current livery was adopted in 2006, where the 'Qatar' wording was painted in burgundy color, and the Arabic word of Qatar (Al-Qatariyah) in darker grey. On the tailfin, it depicted the burgundy-colored Oryx (the national animal of Qatar) in a grey background. The first time i'm seeing the actual aircraft (the registration may differ) was on March 2013, where it was about to returning to her home base in Doha (QR operates A332 & B773ER for DOH-KUL-DOH route). And to commemorate the sighting of that a/c, I've decided to acquire the model, but only this year I've managed to get this model. Besides than that, I'm also dedicating this model to a close friend of mine, where she used to be a Flight Stewardess at Qatar Airways, before returning to Malaysia for good. To Cik Asyekin, this posting is dedicated to you.
Here are the photos of the model, Enjoy!

My latest addition to the collection: Malaysian Airline System Fokker 27 by Aeroclassics (Scale 1:400)
It's been 4 months since i've updated this blog; therefore it's time to updating it again.
Recently, I've managed to get myself the Malaysian Airline System (MAS) Fokker 27 turboprop, made by Aeroclassics. This model itself is a hot-seller, especially for the Malaysian collectors.
The model itself was bought from a fellow collector (where she mentioned that she had to pay for a high price for that model), and fortunately she managed to secure few units of that model.
Again, thanks to Mrs. Keena of Malaysianwings for helping me buying this model.
The actual aircraft (9M-MCI; cn 10471) was built on 1971, By early 1990s, all MH F-27s finally retired from service, to be replaced by brand-new Fokker 50.
