OD1204 (JHB-KUL),29th October 2013

29/10/2013,another chapter in my aviation diary. This is my first time flying with Malindo Air (OD),therefore I am excited to try out their IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) system. However,I've forgotten to bring my headphone, therefore I'm just watching the documentary offered alongside the IFE without any voice. And here are my flight details:

Flight: OD1204
Airline: Malindo Air (OD)
Aircraft: Boeing 737-9GP/ER
Registration: 9M-LNG
Seat: 7A

The check-in procedure was smooth, and upon entering the departure hall,we were called by the ground crew to enter the aircraft,as the boarding procedure is currently underway at that time. Therefore we quickly entered the aircraft, and the overall view of the aircraft was splendid.Managed to spot the business class seat (as my youngest brother did try them out on one of his flight).

The menu catalog

Excellent view of the CFM-56 engine and also the winglet

In-flight menu; ironically it's RM 3 cheaper than AirAsia (AirAsia price was RM 15!) And what makes it interesting that they are offering the infamous 'Kayu Nasi Kandar' Restaurant Nasi Kandar on all of their flights. However, since this is a short flight (only refreshments is served),so I've missed the oppoturnity to try it out.

3 B747 Freighters in one shot; how about that? But looking from their condition, looks likely the jumbo jet flying days are long over.JHB is capable of receiving these bigger aircraft (thanks to the proximity of the airport to the Senai Industrial Zone),and if you're lucky, you could even spot Singapore Airlines (SQ) aircraft performing touch and go procedure here, and who knows if their A380 doing the procedure!

Take off

Goodbye JHB; hope to see you again in the future.

Mini Kaya Bun and Mineral Water for refreshment; That should be OK for a short flight.

Dad managed to have a extra serving of the Mini Kaya Bun,thanks to the stewardess who kindly enough giving him a extra packet.

The weather was good, with clouds as well.

And then,we are ready for touchdown. The landing was smooth,as the weather condition was perfect.

View of the KLIA2; The new LCCT terminal.Hopefully the terminal will be completed as soon as possible,as delay and increasing cost plagued the project. This brand new terminal will be replacing the current LCCT.The current one is such a pain,as you need to walk for a distance from the aircraft,to the main terminal building.

The Bunga Raya Complex, the VIP reception building

And here at last, the Main Terminal Building of KLIA is in sight; my first time on KLIA to be exact.

This B734 still going strong, despite her old age.By 2014,all of the B737-400s will be retired, and all  MH B737 fleet will be using the B737NG (Next Generation).
